Microsoft has released a patch that is causing mouse and keyboard failures in various Windows 10 computers. This issue appears to only be resolved by removing Windows Update KB 4074588. Microsoft Patch and Quickbooks Conflict

A Microsoft Patch KB 4073701 for Windows 7 SP1, Server 2008R2 SP1 and 2008 R2 SP2 has been causing errors and “AppCrash” with several applications – primarily Quickbooks. Removing the update and running the application again should prevent the crashes continuing. Microsoft Update Causing Windows 10 Crash

In January of 2018, Microsoft released a Windows 10 Patch that causes slowness, hangs and crashes of the Windows 10 operating system. This patch does not negatively affect all machines.
